Playing the March sisters are Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Eliza Scanlan, and Florence Pugh. Laura Dern plays their mother Marmee. Timothee Chalamet has the coveted role of neighbor boy Laurie, and Meryl Streep plays wicked old Aunt March.

Is It Worth Your Trip to the Movies? It’s one to be cherished for ages as you can easily watch it time and time again and enjoy on a cold, snowy day.

JUDY (Blu-Ray/DVD)

We may remember Judy Garland as the talented young star of The Wizard of Oz but her life and career spiraled into a life of drugs and alcohol. She was only 47 and was going broke unable to pay for housing for two of her children. She’s forced to take on a concert series at the Talk of the Town in London. She needs the money, yet the years of substance abuse and self-doubt have taken their toll on her mental state as we see her work her way through these performances while falling in love with her final husband Mickey Deans.

THE TWO POPES (Netflix streaming)

The Two Popes is an unconventional biopic for Cardinal Jorge Bergolio who would go on to become Pope Francis. The story is structured as a conversation between Bergolio as he shares his life story to Pope Benedict XVI (Anthony Hopkins) Bergolio is looking to retire but Pope Benedict is questioning his motives. Both are thought of to be men of God, yet come at their ministry in the Catholic Church from two very different ways. It’s becomes fascinating conversation from the ultra-conservative Pope Benedict and the liberal Cardinal Bergolio.
