Adopt Jazzy!

Jazzy was found clenching to a log in the floods from Hurricane Harvey. She is very friendly, housetrained and crate trained. She loves people, even though she’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She would love an active family- she loves spending time with her people, but can also just lay around and relax. She doesn’t have any special needs. Here adoption fee is $375.

How you can help dogs affected by Hurricane Harvey

  1. Sign up to foster– Pet Haven, Inc. of MN is one of terrific local groups bringing dogs from Texas to Minnesota. Link to sign up to foster with Pet Haven: (Note: The hope is that dogs who were separated from their owners during the storm will be able to be reunited. For Pet Haven and other local groups bringing animals up north, the goal is to free up space in the already-at-capacity shelters to give the displaced animals more time to hang out in a local shelter and therefore be able to be found by, and reunited with, their people. Let me know if you have any questions about this.)
  2. Donate — MN’s Animal Humane Society have joined in the rescue effort, not only by bringing veterinary supplies and expertise but also by transporting pre-Harvey shelter pups north to free up local resources. They are not currently in need of fosters, but they are in need of donations to help their efforts. Click here to donate. Note: AHS also already has plans in the works to help the animals of Hurricane Irma.
  3. Drop off supplies– Secondhand Hounds is requesting that supply donations (in particular: dog and cat food, puppy pads, blankets, towels, Lysol and baby wipes, bowls, crates, paper towels, leashes, and collars) be dropped off at their Eden Prairie office: 10100 Viking Dr #100, Eden Prairie, MN 55344
