In 2015, Washington Post reporter Christopher Ingraham came across a set of data ranking America’s counties by climate and beauty. It considered the amount of shoreline, temperature swings, and topography. Ranking dead last was Red Lake County, Minnesota. Ingraham published the listing, not thinking twice about the backlash he would get.
He received an invite from the residents of Red Lake County to visit. Fast forward a few months, and Christopher moved his whole family there. He wrote a book, “If You Lived Here You’d Be Home by Now”, that documents the experience.
On Thursday, September 12th, you can meet Christopher at Magers & Quinn Booksellers in Minneapolis. The event starts at 7 p.m. Learn more here.
“If You Lived Here You’d Be Home By Now” is available in hardcover, e-book and audiobook. You can purchase a copy here.
