Creating the Perfect Charcuterie Board

Carol Anne Porter is here from France 44 Cheese and meat shop to show us how to make a successful charcuterie board.


Start by Picking out your cheese

  • How much do you need?
  • one ounce per person, per cheese
  • ask for help from a cheese monger
  • at least 3 cheeses that are different textures and/or milks. Like cow, goat, or sheep.

Building your board

  • Soft cheeses go first
  • cut/slice hard cheeses
  • add meat

Garnish the Tray

  • Nuts, dried or fresh fruit, jams/honey, pickles/olives, fresh herbs.
