Dog Days of Summer Science

According to The Farmer’s Almanac, the Dog Days of Summer run from July 3rd to August 11th.  The name comes because Sirius (the brightest star in the sky) is in the same region as the sun.  Sirius is part of the Canis Major Constellation – also called the “Dog Star.”

Liz Heinecke, The Kitchen Pantry Scientist, has more information on this and some fun science experiments you can do at home.
