It’s one of the most popular operas of all time. It’s also getting one of the coolest backdrops in the cities. “Carmen” is the latest production by Mill City Summer Opera. The staging is the Mill City Museum’s Ruin Courtyard. The look and the feel of the courtyard adds so much more to this story.
Mill City Summer Opera is in its seventh season. This year, they had a family friendly matinée in attempts to attract even more fans of the opera. “Carmen” is set in 19th century Spain and deals with love and jealousy. It’s basically a soap opera with beautiful music. The story attracts all sorts of fans. Both newbies and those who consider themselves veteran opera lovers.
