IGLESIAS Part 3 (Netflix)
Gabriel Iglesias stars in the hit Netflix sitcom Mr. Iglesias. It’s now back for Part 3. It’s the start of a new school year for Gabe (Iglesias) and the rest of the teachers and staff at the high school. Gabe is the history teacher, and like most schools, they are going through budgets cuts and technology and resources are at a minimum. The students and the teachers are a mix of wild spirits, academically challenged, and goofy personalities. A new guidance counselor shakes things up and is a new love interest for Gabe to stretch him out of his goofball state of mind.

MA RAINEY’S BLACK BOTTOM (Netflix)
Chadwick Boseman has forever left a lasting impression on the film industry. His final performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom is the bookend to a beautiful life and career. Viola Davis tackles the title role of the Mother of Blues, Ma Rainey. Crowds come in droves to see in her Georgia. She’s not as widely recognized when she lands in Chicago for a recording session. She’s late and the same can be said for her horn player Levee, played by Chadwick Boseman. The majority of this film takes place within the walls of this studio with Ma’s strict demands and Levee’s push to be taken seriously causing friction amongst everyone involved.
Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom is the second stage to screen adaptation of one of August Wilson’s plays following Fences a few years ago. It’s a long-standing project by producer Denzel Washington to bring Wilson’s works to the big screen.
