Flint Hills International Children’s Festival at the Ordway

Downtown Saint Paul is full of smiles and activity. The 17th annual Flint Hills International Children’s Festival is happening June 3rd through the 4th. Ahead of it, there have been all sorts of kids coming from area schools to check out the activities.

The children’s festival brings in around 50,000 students and their family to downtown St. Paul each year. The idea is to introduce kids to the arts. Many of them have never experienced performances like these before.

This year’s festival includes fifty eight indoor performances and one hundred fourteen outdoor performances. All of them happen within just six days. Perhaps even more interesting is that there are more than six hundred artists from more than twenty five different countries.

The event includes puppetry, dance, magicians, balloon artists, face painters and more.

At the festival, all outdoor activities are free, and indoor performances on Ordway stages are “Pay What You Can.” However, those who purchase $8 tickets in advance are guaranteed admission. Lear more by clicking here.
