Hazeltine National Golf Club: Chaska’s Crown Jewel

Twin Cities Live in Your Town celebrates the food, fashion and fun happening in cities all around the Metro. And when we set our sights on Chaska, we had to include Hazeltine National Golf Club. The course has played host to some of the best golfers on the planet, most notably in 2016 when it hosted the Ryder Cup. The event, which saw Team USA defeat Team Europe in a wildly entertaining weekend of play, was a smashing success. So much so that Hazeltine will become the first American course to host the event for a second time when the tournament returns in 2028.

TCL Host Steve Patterson toured the facilities with Head Club Professional Chandler Withington. Before it was all said and done, Withington attempted to teach Steve a thing or two about golf. They even went head to head on the driving range. It, as you might expect, was a humbling experience for Patterson. Despite the threat of Patterson’s lack of golfing prowess tarnishing the reputation of the club, Hazeltine remains a feather in the cap of the town of twenty-six thousand.
