Take a Kid Fishing Weekend
On June 8-10, kids 15 and under can fish for free in a Minnesota State Park. You don’t even need gear! Fishing kits are available to check out at State Parks and include a rod, reel and stocked tackle box. If you can’t make it out that weekend, Minnesota residents can fish in State parks without a fishing license anytime, unless the body of water requires a trout stamp.
Don’t forget to take a Minnesota Fish poster with you! Explore Minnesota has a free PDF to print and take with you.

You can take the family to movies in the park across the Twin Cities, but Saint Paul has several evenings to choose from. Outdoor movies start at dusk and the first movie of the season is Friday, June 1st.
Woodbury is home to a great outdoor movie venue called Starlight Cinema at Ojibway Park. Free activities start at 7 p.m.
