It’s Day Eleven in the 12 Days of Cookies and this is the treat that our Twin Cities Live photographer started snacking on before we even hit record. These Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars are just that good. The recipe comes from Twin Cities Live Kitchen Star and creator of the blog Dining With Alice who is known for taking classic comfort foods and adding a fun and unexpected flavor twist. These bars require no stand mixer and no oven!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars

1 ¼ cup Corn Syrup
1 ¼ cup Sugar
1 ¾ cup Peanut Butter
¼ cup Nutella
4 TB Land O Lakes® European Style Salted Butter (melted)
7 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
1 cup 60% Cacao Chocolate Chips
1 cup Peanut Butter Chips
22 Reese’s Miniature Cups (slice each piece into quarters)
In a medium sauce pan, combine corn syrup and sugar and mix to combine. Over medium heat, bring mixture to a boil. Remove from heat and add peanut butter, Nutella, and butter.
In a large bowl add cereal. Pour sugar mixture over the cereal.
In a 9×13 pan lined with parchment paper, add mixture and flatten into pan.
In a large glass measuring cup, combine chocolate and peanut butter chips. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals until melted. Pour chocolate mixture over bars.
Add chopped Reese’s Miniature Cups
Allow to cool and then slice.
Slice into 24 pieces
