Mocktails for Dry January

Have you heard of “Dry January?”  It is month long challenge that started in Britain about a decade ago to help people sleep better, have more energy, and help with weight loss.

Our office mixologist, Drew Schingen, is going alcohol-free and leaning into the health benefits of some of the ingredients.

Ginger Mojito Mocktail
1 oz lime
6 mint leaves
1/2 cup lime sparkling water
1/2 cup ginger ale or beer

Muddle mint and lime.
Add ice.
Top with half ginger beer, half sparkling water.

 

Cherry Blossom
lemon sparkling water
1/2 oz apple cider vinegar
1/2 Tbsp honey
1 oz Grenadine Syrup

Combine all the ingredients together in a tall glass and mix until the honey is completely dissolved.

 

Morning Joy

20 oz Pineapple Juice
5 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp Honey
1 oz lime
¼ tsp Turmeric

Combine all ingredients in a large jar and mix vigorously until well combined. Store in refrigerator up to 5 days. Separation is normal just shake before serving.

When ready to serve pour 4.5 oz into a small glass and sip. Serve cold or over ice.
