Apple Recipes with Olive Grove Olive Oil

Apples are the most popular fruit in September and October. Natalie Jaeger with the Olive Grove Olive Oil shares a few sweet apple dishes.


Rosemary Honey Flatbread Pizza with Prosciutto and Apples – uses the Rosemary Olive Oil.  This is a really fun twist to pizza.  I love the creaminess the ricotta cheese brings to the pizza and the crunch from the apples.  The rosemary olive oil is brushed onto the crust and gives each bite a hint of rosemary.  It’s a really great blend of flavors the rosemary and honey together.  The quantities listed for the ingredients will change depending on the size of crust you use.  I mention that in the recipe.  Basically, you just want to cover the pizza!! 😊

Apple Crisp uses the Butter Olive Oil and Cinnamon Pear Balsamic.   Sweet with a crunchy top.  I’ve been getting nice reviews from this dessert.  The cinnamon pear I mix in with the apples, lemon juice and brown sugar.  The butter olive oil replaces the use of real butter.  Perfect with vanilla ice cream.

Brussels Sprouts with Applesuses the Blood Orange Olive Oil and Cinnamon Pear Balsamic.  If you like your vegetables on the sweet side, this is for you.  (I’m a savory eater myself, but after 12 years talking about food with customers, I can safely say more people are sweet than savory eaters).  The sprouts are cooked in the blood orange olive oil.  The cinnamon pear balsamic is added once removed from heat.  You could add blue cheese to this dish, but it’s got enough great flavor on its own as-is.
