Day 4 of Pork Week presented by the Minnesota Pork Board brings us some easy pork tacos at home from Erin Krug of Anderson Farms.
Meat:
- Prepare a roast-most common are shoulder cuts aka the Boston butt
- Season roast to your liking, try to incorporate salts, pepper, onion/garlic. Spicing it up with cumin and oregano will give it an extra flavor. 1 to 2 tsp is a good guideline for most spices however it really depends on the size of your roast
- Put in crock pot for until tender and you can easily pull apart. Always using a Minnesota meat thermometer and making sure the meat is 145 degrees internal temperature
~You have an option to pan fry after for added texture but not a necessary step
