Chris Egert’s Beef Stroganoff

We’ve covered countless cooking segments and this week we’re picking out our favorite recipes on Twin Cities Live and calling it Best Week Ever! Elizabeth and Steve picked out their favorites but former TCL co-host, Chris Egert wanted to share his as well and it’s one that he made himself.

1lb ground beef
1 white onion
1 can mushrooms
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 pint sour cream
1 package egg noodles
Garlic salt


Brown ground beef, and add chopped white onion. Start boiling water for noodles. Drain grease from hamburger, add 1 tablespoon garlic salt, 1 tablespoon black pepper, mushrooms & can of cream of mushroom soup, simmer for 10-15 min while noodles are cooking. When noodles are 5 min from being done, stir pint of sour cream to hamburger mixture. Serve over buttered noodles. Makes 4 servings.
