It’s TCL in Your Town, celebrating all things Hastings. The town is home to something pretty unique. It’s where the Mississippi, Vermillion, and St. Croix rivers meet. Also just as cool, a business there that’s been a staple in the community for more than 100-years. Twin Cities Live reporter Kelli Hanson takes us inside the Hastings Co-op Creamery in this Good Company.
The Hastings Co-op Creamery was founded in 1913 as a butter manufacturer, and began bottling milk in 1920. They’ve been in their current location since 1950. Their raw milk is sourced from local farmers in Minnesota and Wisconsin and is bottled under the Valley View Farms and Polka Dot names. You’ll find their products in several retailers, including their very own Dairy Store. Kelli takes us there where she find fresh milk of course and milkshakes!
The Dairy Store is open 7-days a week.
