Pumpkin Palooza Week: Pumpkin Kegs

Cooking for Dads, Rob Barrett stopped to show us how he turned an ordinary pumpkin into a fun pumpkin party keg that’s perfect for your Halloween get-together.

How to make it:

Cut a hole in the top of the pumpkin
Scoop out the seeds and guts to hollow out the insides
It should be empty before it holds liquid
Outline the spigot
Use an apple corer or knife to create a circle for the keg tap
Jam the spigot into the pumpkin
Make a hole that’s just big enough to fit the tap, so the liquid won’t drain out

Rob’s Fall Punch
Equal parts apple cider, Sprite, and pineapple juice.
Add a few scoops of vanilla ice cream.
