Northeast Beer Tour

Northeast Minneapolis is hopping. That certainly includes the beer scene which continues to grow. Minnesota Monthly Food Critic, Joy Summers, teamed up with TCL Reporter Emily Engberg to check out three spots worth visiting in that area. Here’s the list.

1. Bauhaus Brew Labs
1315 Tyler Street NE, Minneapolis
-German style beer
-Family owned brewery
-has free games
-cool atmosphere with green space, big patio and trains going by

2. Sociable Cider Werks
1500 Fillmore Street NE, Minneapolis
-Offers Cider, but also has beer
-offers food truck on site
-special date night for $40, live music, dinner and dessert for two

3. Indeed Brewing
711 NE 15th Ave., Minneapolis
-every Wednesday features a non-profit of employees’ choice and profits benefit that group
-first of its kind full production taproom to open in northeast
-has a fun, warm vibe inside, but has a patio as well
-there’s another tap room down the hall of the main room

Minnesota Monthly is hosting its first annual Beer Week. It starts May 7th and goes through Sunday, May 13. There are several locations participating. Show up at them and get a pint or flight of beer from the location’s Beer Week list. To learn more and to get tickets.
