It’s Back to School Week and it wouldn’t be complete without the after school snack! Owner of Golden Fig Laurie Crowell has some fun options.
Kid-Friendly Snack Packs
Start with Meat & Cheese:
- Fresh Cheese Curds
- Salami or Beef Sticks
- A Good Cheese or two for slising
- Crackers or Flatbreads
Add Fruits & Vegetables:
- Grapes (Minnesota Grown Sumerset Grape)
- Sliced Apples (Honeycrisp, Sweetango and First Kiss don’t really brown once cut)
- Sliced cucumbers, carrots or bell peppers
- Pickles
Finish with a little crunch:
- Dried Mixed Fruit
- Chocolate covered nuts or fruits or M&M’s
- Nuts (candied or otherwise)
- Dried Apple Chips (crispy ones!)
