Back to School Snacks

It’s Back to School Week and it wouldn’t be complete without the after school snack!  Owner of Golden Fig Laurie Crowell has some fun options.

Kid-Friendly Snack Packs

Start with Meat & Cheese:

  • Fresh Cheese Curds
  • Salami or Beef Sticks
  • A Good Cheese or two for slising
  • Crackers or Flatbreads

Add Fruits & Vegetables:

  • Grapes (Minnesota Grown Sumerset Grape)
  • Sliced Apples (Honeycrisp, Sweetango and First Kiss don’t really brown once cut)
  • Sliced cucumbers, carrots or bell peppers
  • Pickles

Finish with a little crunch:

  • Dried Mixed Fruit
  • Chocolate covered nuts or fruits or M&M’s
  • Nuts (candied or otherwise)
  • Dried Apple Chips (crispy ones!)
