Korean Chili Burgers

Chef Daniel Green stopped by the TCL studio to teach us how to make a Korean Chili Burger.  For more recipes from Chef Daniel Green, click here.

Burger Ingredients:

1 1/2 pound 90% lean ground beef
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 egg 1 tablespoon Korean chili sauce (gochujang)
2 tablespoon tomato paste

1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bow using your hands
2. Shape the mixture into 4 burger patties
3. Heat a large skillet over medium high heat
4. Spray with non-stick cooking spray or oil
5. Add burgers to pan and cook for 3 minutes per side
6. Turn again and cook on both sides until desired doneness

Eggplant Stack

2 medium eggplants, ends removed
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
20-25 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

1. Heat 1 tablespoon of the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat
2. Add the eggplant slices and cook for about 3-4 minutes each side
3. Place the 4 largest eggplant slices on large baking tray
4. Add tomato and basil on top of eggplant
5. Add Korean chili burger patty
