Cinnamon Beet Winter Smoothie

Smoothies aren’t just for enjoying during the summer time! They’re a great way to boost your immune system during cold and flu season. Christina Sandok of Prescribe Nutrition stopped by the studio to dish up tips on how to make a winter themed smoothie.

Smoothie formula:

Step 1: Choose a liquid base
Step 2: Power up with veggies
Step 3: Flavor with fruit
Step 4: Add healthy fat
Step 5: Pump it up with protein

Cinnamon Beet Smoothie Recipe:
1 cup of almond milk
1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
1/2 cup beets
1 frozen banana
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 scoop plant-based protein powder (vanilla)
1 tsp cinnamon
